Look Who's 1

Our little girl is one! I can't believe she has been part of our family for a whole year!
To celebrate, we had a few friends over for some cake and ice cream. I thought for sure Kenadee would devour her cake, but she just kind of stared at it and played with it until I put some frosting in her mouth. Then she loved it! Kenadee got some fun new toys and some darling clothes for her birthday! Thanks so much everyone!!

Pumpkin Carving in November

So we never ended up carving our Halloween pumpkin. We decided that we couldn't just throw away a perfectly food pumpkin, so we carved a winter pumpkin. Actually I should say that Ben carved it. He did a great job with the snowman! Thanks to the Chappells for hosting this fun filled fhe!

Tree Lighting

We went down for our third year to the Union Square Christmas tree lighting. It is always fun to be around all the people and see all the lights! This year was especially warm. I was actually sweating in my coat. After the tree lighting we went down to the mall to get something to eat. The place was super packed!! It was a fun filled night!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend, full of relaxing, food and friends.
We decorated our Christmas tree. Kenadee was a huge help! :) Ha ha, but she sure did love taking off the decorations!
Here she is helping to sort out the bead strands
A group of the boys played a little Turkey bowl. Kenadee and I went to watch them down at the Marina Green.
This is one of the only pictures I took from Thanksgiving dinner. Kenadee and Joe were having a great time playing at Mark and Tami's house. We had a group of 7 couples who got together at the Ence's place. Dinner was delicious!!

Miss Curious

Kenadee has been getting into everything lately! She likes to check things out, climb on things, eat things. Here she is climbing into daddy's school bag.
Here she found a can of formula in our friends diaper bag.
Here we are trying out new hats.

Learning to Clap

Kenadee has started clapping over the last couple of days, so we put her skills to the test with a song. She is slightly delayed, but super cute! Notice also the head bopping dance. This kid is a hoot!

Heidi Comes to Town

We had the wonderful priviledge of having my sister Heidi come stay with us for a few days! She is a fabulous girl who I love and adore! We had a great time while she was here. We tried to fit in as much as possible into 3 days and keep a happy baby. In the end I think it is safe to say that we suceeded!

Here is Heidi and Kenadee feeding the ducks at the Palace of Fine Arts.
Here Heidi and I are standing purposely in front of Tiffany & Co. Maybe one day one of us will own something from there. :)
This is my new favorite picture of Heidi and Kena. Kena is so happy with Aunt Heidi and her cool purple straw! Thanks for coming to visit us Heidi, we look forward to having you visit again!!

11 Months

Every now and again a person can take a picture that truely captures anothers personality. This is just such a picture. Kenadee is now 11 months. She is walking like crazy and loves to laugh! She is developing quite a humorous personality and we are loving every minute with her!

Kisses

Kenadee loves to give kisses! Her two favorite people to give kisses to are her friends Ryder and MaKenzie. We have to try to keep her from mauling both of them! Here is a peek at her kisses for Ryder.

The Zoo

Today we ventured out to the zoo for the free day! I was surprised at how much parking was available until I got out of the car and realized how cold it was! Did the cold stop this crazy mom, no way! We met up with Lauren and Triton and went in to see the animals. We hit up the petting zoo for our first time, I thought Kena would enjoy that. It took her one look at that goat and she was done!!
We decided to try out the swings, both kids love that! The reason they are sitting one swing apart is that there was bird poop in the middle swing. Gross!!

Jazz Game

Last night we had the opportunity to go to the Jazz vs. Warriors game in Oakland. It was a great game, the Jazz won (of course). We went with the Ences', Pipers', Blacks', McDonoughs' and Clint Shelly and Josh Beavens.

Halloween 2007

Here is our cute little Halloween Chicken. Today we went down to Chestnut street to go trick-or-treating, but it was extremely crowded and since Kenadee doesn't know what candy is yet, we just took a few pictures and went home. At lunch time we went to the school to have lunch with Ben. Kenadee wanted to be constantly moving. She walked around the room and when she fell, she crawled farther. Silly little girl. :) There was also the great feat of Ben putting the entire large end of the water bottle in his mouth while Kena put the small end in hers.

Pumpkin Patch

This last Saturday we had the opportunity to meet up with the Gordons and the Chappells at the Lemos Farm pumpkin patch. It was such a cute place down in HalfMoon Bay. There were rides for the kids, food and obviously pumpkins! We picked out a good size pumpkin to carve and got Kena a baby sized one. It was a very fun day!

Walking when she wants to

Kenadee is capable of walking, but only when she wants to. It really is cute to see her unsteady steps. She is always so pleased when she reaches her planned destination!

Feeling Old

Last weekend Ben and I had the opportunity to play in the annual UOP softball tournament. We played three games on Saturday and had a great time. On Sunday we woke up to aching bodies. Seriously we could hardly move. I guess that goes to show how out of shape we both are!

Famous

Last year at Uncle Dave's graduation, we took some pictures of Kenadee with him. The schools photographer also came over and took some pictures. ( He may have thought Kenadee belonged to Dave :) Well, Kenadee and Dave ended up on one of the light boards at the school.

Before & After

I can finally put Kena's hair in pigtails!
When they come out, the hair stays put! :)
