Camping in the Redwoods

For memorial day weekend, we decided to go camping up north. We had a great time! Kenadee was a champ through the whole camping trip. She was completely interested in the fire. She loved traveling around in the baby carrier. The scenery we were able to enjoy was breath-taking! I don't know that I have seen prettier countryside.

This is Paul Bunyan and Babe The Blue Ox.

Here is the Chandelier Tree in Legget, California. No, my child is not in a seat belt for this short drive. :)
Family picture inside a fallen redwood tree.
We went on a gorgeous hike labeled "Damnation Trail." It was a downhill hike through huge redwood trees which ended here at the ocean.

On the beach, Ben and Kenadee under the natural bridge.

This is our campsite. You can't see it from the picture, but our last name was spelt "Mishour," apparently the cute little old lady on the phone misunderstood my last name.

This is another cool tree on our hike. We were able to climb in it. It was like a huge cave.
Here Ben is trying to climb the redwood trees. Or is it just a great photo trick?

Just Chillin'

We went don to walk around Crissy Field, but it was freezing, so we just sat in the car for a little while listening to music.

Hot Mama

I couldn't resist, these glasses were too cute! I think Kenadee enjoys looking through the pink lenses!

Sunday Picnic

This last Sunday we went on a picnic with Uncle Dave and Aunt Cindy. We headed to Golden Gate Park to yet another place that I haven't been to. It is amazing how huge this park is, and how many beautiful places there are in it! Kenadee is finally starting to notice the animals around her. She enjoyed watching the ducks. I think we may be just about to the stage of feeding the ducks.

Happy Feet

Kenadee is in the stage where she loves, loves, loves her feet! Anytime she is layed on her back she instantly pulls her feet up. It is actually very nice for diaper changing! I love this cute girl!

Great Job Ben!

I am proud of Ben! He works so hard in school to do his best and tonight he was recognized for it. He was inducted into TKO which is UOP's honors society. The current members of the society pull pranks on the new inductees when delivering their letters of invitation. In Ben's case he was pulled out of clinic to see an administrator about a complaint filed by a patient for unprofessional behavior. He was told that the director of the clinic had written him up. Much to his relief it was all a prank in order to deliver his letter. The evening was wonderful. Great job Ben!!

Rice cereal

We decided that after 3 days of waking up from naps crying, Kenadee was ready to add rice cereal to her diet. The first couple of feeding were very funny! She just pushed all the cereal back out with her tongue.
This is messy Kenadee. Check out those baby blues, she definitely has daddy's eyes!

Dad went shopping

So cute Ben decided to buy Kenadee a UOP sweatshirt. He was so excited about his purchase! He thought for sure it was her size. :)0 Maybe in a few more years sweetie.

Warm Weather

Today the bay area had amazingly warm weather, so I packed up Kenadee, went to the store, bought a beach umbrella and some toys and headed to Baker Beach. The place was packed with people out to enjoy the sun. Kenadee seemed to really enjoy eating her beach toys!

Alta Plaza Park

Alta Plaza Park is my current favorite park. The playground was recently rennovated and the result is amazing! I would love to be a kid again so that I could play here! We often meet our good friends Courtney and Weston up there. As you can see the swings are the big hit for both Weston and Kenadee!!
Here is a view from this gorgeous park!

Look who can hold her own bottle!

Conservatory of Flowers

This week Kenadee and I went to the free day at the Conservatory. I've never been there before, which was silly since I love love love flowers! The current flower display was orchids. They were beautiful!
