I thought when Kenadee had an accident at my sister-in-laws that was bad, but then she decided to have one at a new friends house but we couldn't stop there, we had to mark our territory in the mall food court...I thought that was the worst until yesterday when we were at Barnes & Noble. Kena starts this dance and as I go to grab her the wood floor around her feet starts to puddle. Seriously?!? I had to be resourceful so I used one of Bensons clean diapers (extra absorbent) to get the majority, baby wipes to clean the rest and a WetOne to disinfect. Please tell me all you moms out there that you have had similar experiences!!

oh man, I'm sure the time will come . . . stories like these don't excite me though.
oh my stars... THAT IS NOTHING... if you want to feel better about your situation, go to my blog and scroll down to July 15th " clean up on Isle 14" you'll thank your lucky stars for a little pee :) MISS YOU!
I carry a ziplock bag with a change of clothes and a diaper. If Annabelle has an accident, on goes the diaper and the new pants.
She's only had a few accidents, but the worst "moment" was the second week of potty training - we were at a kids museum and she peed all over the floor. When I saw her start to pee I scooped her up so she could finish peeing on my lap and not the floor. It was just instinct. So now I'm covered in pee and so is she. I grabbed some baby wipes to quickly soak up the majority of the mess, yell to a girlfriend to watch the baby and I take her to the bathroom to clean us both up, put new bottoms on her. Oh, and the poor museum worker cleaned up the pee mess while I was in the bathroom. There was a yellow caution cone by my stroller when I came out.
Neither of my boys made a regular habit of having accidents, thank goodness. However, after a camping trip a few summers ago (when he was potty training)Kian decided to drop a deuce right in the middle of the laundro-mat!!!! We were there to wash our sleeping bags and he just dumped one right in the middle of the floor...the little pile just came sliding right out of the leg of his shorts. So embarrassing! Uhg! I had forgotten that story until I read your blog...so someday you won't even remember these things! :)
Weston had a HUGE peeing accident when we were firt potty training at a kids play place, except the worse part is that it was on the carpet where he did it and everyone was watching him go while I was across the room....he was so embarrassed I felt so bad for him, it was an accident and I tried to not make him feel like it was his fault, but the one thing that made me so mad was all the other moms give me "those roll of the eyes" that moms do......I just hope it happens to them someday and they will know how it feels....
I love that you grabbed a diaper to absorb the accident up...smart mommy:)
Remember our home teacher's kid pooped on our floor on their first visit...and then stomped in it and marched all over the living room. Good times.
Heather, I'm so happy I found your blog. We had this problem with Carmen even at Cold Stone. I felt like I couldn't take her anywhere for months and that she would never be potty trained. My doctor uses the phrase "two steps forward and one step back" to describe every childhood milestone. Then I don't think my kids are the only ones with the problems.
I am glad to hear I am not the only one also. Just yesterday I was talking to a friend after church in the Relief Society room. I look over to see Evelyn peeing and then this other little girl go, "She peed on me" Luckily my friend has like 8 kids so she totally understood.
