We recently returned from a road trip down the coast of California on Highway 1. It was such a fun very relaxed trip. We went without a set plan other than to make it to San Diego. We stopped along the way and found hotels when we were tired. We also tried to see as much as we could. Kenadee did amazingly well on the way down there. I think we were stopping enough for her to be able to stretch. As long as we took turns sitting in the back with her when she was awake she was happy! We made our first stop in Monterey where we went to church and then went on the 17-mile drive there. It was a beautiful drive that took us through Pebble Beach golf course. I think Ben decided to work on his golf game so he could return there to play! :) The drive ended in Carmel By the Sea which is a quaint lovely town. I want to live there someday! We made it to the Hurst Castle on Monday. It was incredible. The main home was enormous with around 170 rooms. There were also three guest houses, two pools, a tennis court and land that went forever. The property was 250 thousand acres. Talk about some breathing room. We continued our trip down south stopping in the town of Solvang. It is a little Dutch town with a ton of character. Tuesday we hit up BelAir, Beverely Hills and Hollywood. The homes there were gigantic. It was fun to see it all. By Tuesday night we finally made it to San Diego where we met up with Brian and Becca Black. There we sat in their hot tub, shopped and went to the beach. Brian and Becca were also kind enough to watch Kenadee so that Ben and I could go to the temple there. (Thanks again you two!) It was a breath taking sight. We had such a great time.

What a great road trip!!! Sounds like you got a lot in. Isn't Pebble Beach golf course one of the prettiest places ever! I love it down in Monterey. Glad you had a good time.
Your pictures are great! I'm sad Aaron and I missed out!
