Before & After

I can finally put Kena's hair in pigtails!
When they come out, the hair stays put! :)

Finally....Mama's

After hearing so much about this "wonderful" breakfast place, I finally went. Ben is on break from school so we decided to try a late breakfast one morning. It was delicious! Ben ordered an omlete and I got french toast. Yummy!!

Lovely Evening

Ben, Kenadee and I took a walk over to the Palace of Fine Arts to feed the ducks. While we were there we heard some loud noise in the sky and looked up to see four smalls planes doing tricks in the sky. We watched them for several minutes and then decided to walk over to the bay so we could get a better view. They were amazing to watch! At the bay we also saw this tiny little car. It serious looked like a micro-machine on steroids. It was licensed though, and we watched a full grown man get in it and drive away. I'll bet that car doesn't have problems finding parking in San Francisco! We stayed around long enough to enjoy the beautiful sunset on the beach and then headed home.

Fall Break

For the start of Ben's break we went camping up to Lake Sonoma with the Chappells, Hinckleys and Curtiss'. It was perfect weather, warm but not hot. We went hiking, played games, cooked smores, all the normal camping stuff. This is Ben and Kena on the hike.
This is Ben and Garrett swimming in the lake, can you even see them?
Kena and Camry spent a lot of time in the pack-n-play, thanks Jenny for being so smart to bring one!

Let's Go Fly a Kite

Another reason that I love this city!! San Francisco has an annual kite festival where people come from all over to compete in kite contests. It was such a fun thing to go and watch. They had contests for biggest, most beautiful, longest tail, etc. kites. There were also these go carts that people sat in while holding huge kites that made the carts go. They controlled their steering with the kites too. It was cool to see!
Can you see the specs in the sky? They are all kites. They also had little stands where kids could make their own kites. At the end of the field they had bouncy toys set up for kids.
This is the kite that won for the longest tail. It's tail was 1000 ft. long! Crazy!!

Funny Faces

Kenadee likes to imitate us now. If we look at her and close our eyes, this is what she does in return. I love this crazy girl!!

Time is flying for me with this cute little one. She is now 9 months and very playful! She has started copying us a lot more. She loves being able to crawl around. (We love it too!) She is also so much more ticklish than she was before!
This is the hat my cute friend Ashley made for Kena. It fits now and is adorable! Thanks Ashley!!

Busy Week

Last week we had the priviledge of going swimming at our friend Katie's place. Kenadee is a huge fan of the pool. She could stay in there all day!
Saturday Ben didn't have any studying to do so we packed up and drove down to Santa Cruz to check out the boardwalk. It was so hot! We were wishing that we had brought swimming suits.
In answer to Ben's question, "Do we really need to strap her in?" The answer is YES!
For Labor Day our friends Pepper, Mark and Oslo invited us to join them at China Beach. We had a great time talking, walking and trying to keep our babies from eating too much sand!
